Parish of Sandwick in 1841

The person appointed by the Sheriff to divide the Parish was James M Aim the Parish Schoolmaster living at Lower Aith Parish Schoolhouse in Enumeration District 3. The Minister of the Parish was Charles Clouston living at the Manse in Enumeration District 3.
No persons were listed as sleeping outside or in boats, barns etc.

The blotch at the bottom of pages 7 & 8 was made in consequence of the string breaking by which the ink bottle was suspended.

Herd - A person in a farmer's service employed in tending cattle
There are only 2 men in this district at the Davis Straits whale fishery this season.
