Lady Kirk Parish
The person appointed by the Sheriff to divide the Parish was Stewart Logie
a Schoolmaster living at the Parish School in Enumeration District 1 of
St Peters Parish. The Minister of Stronsay and Eday was John Simpson living
at the Manse in the same District.

Lower Whitehall including all the houses at the Fishing Station, sometimes
termed a Village and south west of the Island of Papa Stronsay.

Of the 13 people noted above in this page 8 were on board two English Sloops
employed in fishing and five were on board a Boat from Zetland all in the
Harbour of Papasound here on the night of 6th June.
All the Houses in this number are considered and noted as in the fishing
village of Whitehall altho' there are in it several spaces not as yet filled
up with Houses.
